Launch of The Chamber at The Starhill, Kuala Lumpur

Last Thursday saw the official launch of The Chamber at The Starhill, Kuala Lumpur.

The Chamber launch party was hosted by the CEO, Justin Lim, with partners Joseph Yeoh and Michael Chai. The 37-year-old Justin aims to offer a large curation labels and brands from the best vineyards, distilleries and breweries from his global travels.

The Chamber will feature exclusive collections of wines, liquor, sake, champagne and cigars from vineyards, distillers, breweries and cigarmakers across the world – which is claimed to be the largest collection in the country.

 

The Starhill store, which is their flagship, will feature over 1000 labels. Rare collections would include labels from the legendary Premier Grand Cru ranked wine estates of Château Margaux and Château Cheval Blanc for wine lovers. Also available are the highly sought after Dom Perignon vintage champagnes and Krug Champagne. Cognac lovers will find Remy Martin’s coveted Louis XIII, and Hennessy’s Hennessy Richard and Hennessy Paradis here. As for whiskies, there are The Macallan, Dalmore and The Balvenie, among others. Sake aficionados will be pleased to note that the sought after Juyondai sake is made available *ONLY* at The Chamber in Malaysia. There's also the Dassai sake range here.

The flagship store will also house the first Hennessy Hands workshop. Here, you can customise your bottles by having your initials engraved in silver, gold or bronze and choose a feature accessory in a colour which you prefer - beige, brown, red, or grey. 

There are three private rooms designed by Hennessy, Mortlach, and Louis XIII, available only for The Chamber's members. The Hennessy, Mortlach and Louis XIII rooms offer a private space for parties of six.
 

The Chamber also has a mobile bar which is available for hire for its exclusive members.

Memberships will be made available with four tiers - Blue, Silver, Gold and Emerald. Each tier can be unlocked based on your yearly billing. 

  • Blue Members - 1000 points as a welcome gift (equivalent to RM10) and a RM50 voucher on their birthday month
  • Silver members - additional privileges of receiving 5% off during their birthday month, a complimentary bottle worth up to RM500,  8 complimentary access to the Private Chambers, a complimentary rental of the Mobile Chamber, and a two-day, one night staycation at a five-star hotel.  
  • Gold members - upgraded benefits including a complimentary bottle worth up to RM1,000, 24 complimentary access to the Private Chamber a year, 2 complimentary rental of the Mobile Chamber, a 1-year complimentary whiskey or cigar subscription, and a fine dining experience for two worth up to RM1,000.
  • Emerald members - unlimited access to the Private Chambers, 5 complimentary rental of the Mobile Chamber, a complimentary bottle worth up to RM5,000, a full-board three-day, two nights staycation at a five-star hotel, as well as a fine dining experience for two worth up to RM3,000.

Members also get to partake in exclusive events including weekly masterclasses comprising wine tasting and pairing events.

The Chamber is available both online and in The Starhill, Kuala Lumpur and Sunway Pyramid. There are 13 outlets planned across the country.
