Heineken Malaysia Berhad crowned Jason Dennis Dcruz from Te Amo as this year’s National Champion of the 2024 Star Academy National Finals.
This means he will be representing Malaysia at the Global Bartender
Finals in Amsterdam to compete for the ultimate title of Heineken's
World’s Best Bartender. Congratulations and make us proud!
2024 marks the 7th edition of the Star Academy programme which aims to raise the bar in the services sector nationwide. Since 2018, this programme has trained more than 10k bartenders across Malaysia!
Training sessions are held in major cities across Malaysia, including Selangor, Johor, Perak, Penang, Sabah, and Sarawak. These sessions enable bartenders to familiarise themselves with Heineken Malaysia's portfolio as well as Heineken's "7C’s Quality Guide" to master the perfect pour.
Upon completing the training, participants will compete in regional level competitions, with winners moving on to the National Championship. The National Champion will then represent Malaysia at the Global Bartender Finals in Amsterdam.
